Services Update

Hi there! We hope you're doing well. We wanted to talk to you about recent events in New Zealand. Unfortunately, there have been floods and cyclones that have caused significant damage to farmland and infrastructure that supports our food supply chain. However, we want to reassure you that there is no need to panic about food shortages.

Jerry, the President of United Fresh New Zealand, recently shared in an interview that food rationing is unlikely to happen.

But, we do need to come together to support local produce and ensure that no food goes to waste during this tough time. We believe that there is enough food for everyone in New Zealand. It's just a matter of being mindful of how we approach this change. In the next two months, we are expanding our paid-forward community shops to support anyone who may be struggling. We need your help to continue supporting our mission to create a safe place for everyone to enjoy food with dignity. Here are the services that we'll be offering in the next two months:

  • We will only accept subscription orders to provide strong and consistent support to our gleaning community.

  • We encourage you to sign up for our gleaning community membership for only $59 per year. You'll receive four complimentary mystery boxes valued at $64, and your membership helps us fundraise to set up shops in even more neighborhoods.

  • You can RSVP for tickets online to our community shops for as little as $1. This helps us better prepare and ensure that we have enough food to support everyone who comes through our doors.

  • Volunteer your time to serve your community today, and receive a bag of perfect food as a reward.

Our community shops will be at the following locations and times:

  • Sandringham, Gribblehirst Community Hub, Friday at noon

  • Whangapoaroa Community Recycling Centre, Thursday at 10 am

  • Westgate, Re: Make Space, Friday at 1 pm

  • Ponsonby, St Stephens Ponsonby - coming soon

We hope to see you at one of our community shops soon. Together, we can make a positive impact during this difficult time. Thank you for your support!
